Yes, it is a metal toggle clamp affair that I bought used for $20. It was originally made for a Honda Gold Wing, but because I am a Machinist I was able to adapt the clamping mechanism to the stock Savage handle grip. I love it and surely would miss not having it. By the way I also have a cheeper plastic one on my Yamaha Virago. The plastic type is sold in most dealerships, but tend to slip a little from vibrations. The metal one is like a rock. They both have a quick release action for using when in traffic around town. There are also some end of the bar tightener knob designs as used on the BMW cycles. I do not know the source, but they are expensive ($150 US).
Another Idea is a thumb lever made out of spring plastic. This device coils around the grip and is self tightening with pressure of the thumb.
